Antimicrobial Stewardship

Febris Health provides expert antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) services to assist private health facilities and community clinics to use antibiotics safely, effectively, and in line with NSQHS Standard 3: Preventing and Controlling Infections.

We can support hospitals, day procedures centres, and corporate providers through:

• Establishing or strengthening AMS programs

• Developing and reviewing antibiotic prescribing policies and guidelines

• Prospective audit and feedback on antimicrobial use

• Review of medication-related incidents and adverse events

• Education and training for clinical staff

• Governance support, including reporting and compliance frameworks

Services can be delivered as ongoing partnerships or targeted reviews, with a focus on improving patient outcomes, reducing antimicrobial resistance, and meeting accreditation requirements.
